Award-Winning Q-BBQ Restaurant Will Open in Schererville on Black Friday
Nov. 16, 2015 (Schererville, IN) - Q-BBQ, a leader in the recent renaissance of upscale BBQ, will open its fourth restaurant in Schererville, IN on Black Friday, November 27. As they make their way across the border, they'll bring 22-hour hickory smoked Brisket, dry-rubbed Memphis chicken wings, 4-Cheese Mac-Q-Roni, and of course their award winning ("always-smoked, never-broiled") ribs, which won the "People's Choice" award at the 2015 Ribfest Chicago.
Q-BBQ is known for their menu, but Michael LaPidus, owner of Q-BBQ, knows it's about more than just making great food. "It's our legendary service that drives who we are. BBQ is a really, really enjoyable meal that's meant to be shared with family and friends and neighbors. We've become an active part of the communities in the Chicago area and we are really excited to join Indiana's Schererville neighborhood."

The restaurant is located at 79 US HWY 41, Suite 200 next to Whole Foods, joining other fast-casual players like Panera Bread, Potbelly Sandwich Works, Qdoba Mexican Grill and Tomato Bar Pizza Bakery. "There's just a lot of energy there," LaPidus said. "People are hungry for something new. It's the right income level there. There are two-hour waits for new restaurants, and we expect the same when we open."
Q-BBQ specializes in authentic BBQ traditions from Memphis, the Carolinas, Texas, and Kansas City, and has added its own signature style to create a familiar yet surprising menu that is both contemporary as well as true to the legacy of "America's original comfort food." The menu features BBQ delicacies like brisket burnt ends, traditional dry rubbed chicken wings, homemade sides made fresh daily, deep fried corn fritters ("Q-Pups") and signature sauces such as Memphis Sweet, Texas Spicy, and North Carolina Vinegar. Additionally, Q-BBQ specializes in off-site catering, and will soon offer lunchtime delivery service.
