Award-Winning Restaurant Brings New Menu Items and Six-Hour Smoked Ribs for Second Chance to Claim the Title
June 10, 2015 (CHICAGO) – Q-BBQ is back to compete for “Best Ribs” at Ribfest Chicago for their second year. After receiving second place last year in the competition, it left owner of Q-BBQ, Michael LaPidus, craving for another attempt to prove that his six-hour smoked Memphis Baby Back Ribs are the best in the land. On top of showcasing their ribs in competition, Q-BBQ will also be a food vendor onsite, complete with customer favorites including their competition-ready ribs, Kansas City Burnt Ends, Texas Spicy Sausage and debuting Mexican Style Street Corn (Elotes).
“We are ready to claim our rightful throne as ‘Best Ribs’ this year,” says LaPidus. “Q-BBQ prides ourself on our amazing quality of meat and our attention to detail as we hand-rub and perfectly smoke our ribs”. After Q-BBQ’s ribs are rubbed and smoked, they are topped with Q-BBQ’s small batch, all natural, Memphis sweet sauce. “Unlike most of our competitors, we do not boil our ribs. Smoking with hickory and applewood allows the ribs to become tender and moist, without losing their structure and consistency”.
